You are here: Home > Supplied Artwork
This information sheet has been prepared in order to assist you when supplying artwork for print.
Although we do have the ability to accept many different formats we would ask that wherever possible the following guidelines are followed. This will assist us in producing your work quickly and efficiently.
Fonts: ALL fonts must be supplied for all artwork including those which may be present in imported and embedded files. Fonts are removed from our system on completion of your job.
Text to outlines: ALL text should be converted to paths or outlines where possible, this will prevent font substitution and re-flow.
Trapping: We will automatically do this for you.
Scans: Images should be supplied in EPS or TIFF format. Images should be supplied at 300dpi 100% printed size to optimise quality.
Outputs: Wherever possible a colour output should be supplied with all artwork in order for us to check image positioning and text flow.
Bleed and Cutter Guides: In all instances where a job requires bleed a minimum of 3mm must be applied. Where a document is cut-out the cutter guide should be
marked clearly showing creases / slits / perforations.
Colours: Ensure all colours separate correctly, for example when a job is four colour process please make sure it separates as CMYK and not RGB, and that there are no spot colours present. Where spot and metallics are used please ensure these are accompanied with appropriate Pantone References.
Media: Files can be supplied on the following recorded media :
File transfer: We can accept files via ftp or Email. Please note maximum sizes for each are:
Please contact us prior to transferring files. Should you require to submit larger file sizes please refer to the section on ‘Media'.
Software acceptance: There are many packages available for artwork creation today and wherever possible we do try and accommodate all formats. Below is a list of the Industry Standard Applications we definitely support:
If you are running later versions of these applications please back save to the versions listed above to avoid inconvenience. If the software you are using is not listed please convert your files to a format that can be imported into the above applications, for example EPS or PDF files.
Due to the continued advances in pre-press technology our preferred (& safest) format of supplied artwork is an Embedded Press Quality PDF, if you would like to discuss this further please do not hesitate in contacting us.
